The Hotel Adams was constructed in 1896 and remains one of a very few three story wooden hotels in the United States. Keith & Jeanne Schillinger reopened the hotel in 2006 with a vision of a Victorian Hotel, Sports Bar and Family Style Restaurant specializing in specialty steak, seafood, pork and chicken. The goal is to provide the community and travelers with an affordable meal and an atmosphere where everyone can feel comfortable. The hotel has a long history offering Banquets, Holiday Parties, Reunions, Anniversary, Birthdays and we continue that today.

Like turning time back to an earlier era, the new owners of Hotel Adams hope to furnish their renovated and restored rooms to the way they would have appeared when the structure was built in 1896.
Keith and Jeanne Schillinger purchased the hotel earlier this year and their initial efforts focused on improving the appearance of the exterior of the three-story building located on West Church Street in the village. New roofing and siding was installed and the front entrance area upgraded. The next efforts, prior to opening, included restoration of the dining room areas, a waiting room and other sections of the ground floor. Already, the setting provides a flavor of a bygone era when guests and diners enter the building. An early wall-mounted wooden telephone, framed prints and photographs and parlor furniture give a hint of their ambitions.
Asked why he was inspired to create the look, Mr. Schillinger said he loves the history of small towns and villages. "Adams has that close-knit, community feel -- not like the big city," he said.

"We want it to be like a step back in time, a landmark where guests can create their own memories as guests did in those earlier days," he noted.
"Historically, the Hotel served the community for weddings, holiday dinners, birthdays, dances and meetings. It is these traditions we strive to bring back to the hotel and community," Mr. Schillinger said.
